9-3 CONFIGURE BPS (BAUD RATE)
The Remote BPS Set menu is used to configure the communication port control settings as it is
important that they exactly match those of an associated computer connection.
To access the configuration menu, press the [FUNC] key, and then press the [kHz] key.
Press the [DOWN] key twice to select “BPS” in reverse contrast. Rotate the sub dial to select the desired
baud rate from 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 bps.
Press the [MHz] key to accept the entry and return to a standard display.
Alternatively, press the [CLR] key to abort entry.
Or, press the [DOWN] key to move to the next item on the configuration menu.
9-4 CONFIGURE LOCAL (LOCATION SETTING)
The AR5001D is capable of selecting the user’s location settings. This function is especially useful when
you travel abroad with your receiver. The AR5001D has preprogrammed data for three different locations
(Europe, Japan, and U.S.A.) which contain the respective band plans and receive modes, etc.
To access the configuration menu, press the [FUNC] key, and then press the [kHz] key.
Press the [DOWN] key three times to select “LOCAL” in reverse contrast. Rotate the sub dial to select the
current location from Europe, Japan, and U.S.A.
Press the [MHz] key to accept the entry and return to a standard display.
Alternatively, press the [CLR] key to abort entry.
Or, press the [DOWN] key to move to the next item on the configuration menu.
9-5 CONFIGURE SQL SKIP
The squelch skip menu is used to configure the SD card voice recording when squelch is open or closed.
When squelch skip is set to off, the recording process will take place even when the squelch is closed and
no audio signal is present.
When squelch skip is set to on, the recording process will take place only when the squelch is opened
and an audio signal is present.
To access the configuration menu, press the [FUNC] key, and then press the [kHz] key.
